Recommended Tour Route

Start at the iconic Wukang Building at the intersection of Wukang Road and Huaihai Middle Road. Capture photos from across the street for the best view of this Art Deco masterpiece.

Walk along Wukang Road, lined with historic villas and leafy trees. Visit the nearby cafes and boutiques, and continue to Huaihai Middle Road for shopping. This area is part of the former French Concession and offers a charming blend of old and new Shanghai.

Architectural Aesthetics

French Renaissance Elegance: The building features a "horizontal three-section" facade with cement stone on the ground and top floors, and yellow-brown brickwork in between. Its iconic "ship bow" shape makes it a city landmark, with continuous balconies on the 3rd and 8th floors serving as waistlines. The corner balcony extends outward with vase-style railings.

Material Fusion: The combination of red brick and cement stone echoes Shanghai's Shikumen architecture while embodying Western modernity.
